4 Essential Guns for Protecting & Providing for Your Family❗️

Subscribe!

If I could only own FOUR firearms for the rest of my life, these are the four I would choose for homestead preparedness, hunting, rural living, target shooting, and lawful self defense.

I’m Jason Salyer with On Three. In this video, I break down the 4 firearms I believe cover the widest range of practical needs without building an enormous gun collection.

These aren’t firearms chosen because they’re expensive, highly customized, or “safe queens.” My focus is versatility, reliability, common ammunition, and practical capability.

Whether you live on a homestead, farm, or rural property, these four choices can cover a tremendous range of needs, from hunting and dealing with pests to target shooting, everyday carry, preparedness, and lawful home and self defense.

MY 4 FIREARM CHOICES:

1. Glock 43 9mm
Compact, lightweight, concealable, and chambered in one of the most common handgun cartridges in America.
2. Henry .22 LR Lever Action
A simple, versatile rimfire rifle for inexpensive practice, small game, pest control, and general homestead use.
3. AR 15
A versatile semiautomatic rifle platform with widely available ammunition, magazines, parts, and accessories.
4. Mossberg 500 12 Gauge
A proven pump shotgun capable of filling multiple roles depending on lawful application and ammunition selection.

If I were limited to only four, I want firearms that earn their place. No enormous collection. No firearm that performs only one highly specialized task. Just four practical choices covering as many realistic needs as possible.

What would YOUR four be? Drop your list in the comments. I’m curious how many of you would make the same choices and what you would replace.

On Three is about practical preparedness, survival skills, outdoor capability, homesteading, EDC, field tested gear, and becoming better prepared for the situations life can throw at you. The goal isn’t fear. It’s capability.

Always treat every firearm as if it is loaded. Keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction, keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire, and know your target and what is beyond it. Seek qualified professional firearm training before handling or using a firearm.

Firearms should only be used for lawful purposes. Follow all applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding firearm possession, transportation, storage, hunting, and use.
